Love this course! In the heart of Henderson Nevada, this cute 18 hole course is nestled between Sun City Anthem and the Greater Green Valley area. Even with temperatures rising above 100, this golf course provides accommodations to keep you cool as you hit the back 9.
This is a great executive course for the casual golfer! The views are beautiful, the greens are well kept and the staff; both on and off the course are extremely courteous and helpful. Will definitely return.
I'm FAR from even being considered a good golfer, but this course was very fun to play, and well worth the price. I paid $65.00 for 18 holes, including a cart and rental clubs. The entertainment was free, as I was teamed up with three guys I had never met, but made me feel like part of their group by the third tee.
I have to give a shout-out to KC, John, and Phil for the banter and excellent tips on the course. I was apprehensive about even scheduling the tee time, being a beginner golfer, but they put me right at ease and are an asset to the course.
Being January, the course was well kept, and you can tell that the regulars care about the place, replacing divots, repairing greens and raking the traps. The pro shop staff was friendly and welcoming, even though they had leagues starting at about the same time as me.
It's a short course, as advertised with only par 3 and 4 holes, it's fun to play, and I can imagine it would be a slight challenge to even avid players.
I highly recommend giving it a try!
The worst. This place could be really, really be good but the fact you get rounded up at 4 when there’s 45 minutes of sunlight is ridiculous. The pace of play is boardline crawling, it’s half of a real track and plays twice as long. They didn’t want to sell range balls at 3:00 and now we were on 17 at 4:00 and got booted. Never again enjoy your naps. It won’t even count for a real handicap
I may not play Desert Willow GC very often but I do love the practice range and practice greens! The clubhouse is compact but very nice and the restaurant serves tasty food at very competitive prices!
For people from out of town who don't have 4-5 hours to play a round of golf in Las Vegas, (or don't want to spend a TON of money playing golf) Desert Willow GC is the perfect alternative because it has all the feel and look of a large golf course but in a smaller, more compact layout! Whenever I play there I always remember that precision matters so instead of the "spray and pray" method many amateur golfers tend to use when playing larger golf courses, Desert Willow forces you to be more precise and will challenge you in a good way - at least it did for me!
As long as I live here in southern Las Vegas I will always find my way to the Desert Willow Golf Course because it's a great place to go practice, play, shop and dine!
Hard to rate it cause it is fun but it's not worth anything more than 2 stars. It is an executive course so only I think 4 par 4s. The tee boxes are trash basically sand and the greens are hard as a rock but I assume because of the amount of play that's why they r the way they are. Ranger pushed us off the course at 4:30 pm about 20 minutes before dark so we didn't get to finish with only 2 holes left. That is a trash move. Save your money unless you have no other choice and just want to hit a golf ball. Not recommended!!
If 6ou need a short game tune up or a faster round, play willow, the staff is great and the course is amazing tough for a small course.
I will give the course iself 5 stats but really disappointed that they are raising prices again! 2 years ago it was $38 on the weekend and then last year went to $44 now this year up to $49. Its only a par 60 course! I can go play a Par 72 at Las Vegas golf club for $60 and my wife rides free! If it goes up over $50 next year that will be it for me!
